Change display name in whatsapp business API

Your WhatsApp Business display name is how your business name will appear to customers when you send messages. After your display name is approved, you can change it if needed.

Process for Changing Display Name

The steps to change your display name vary depending on whether you have an official business account or not.

• Non-official Business Account: Follow the steps outlined below to change your display name.
• Official Business Account: Please contact our/Whatsapp Business direct support for assistance.

Steps to Change Your Display Name

To change your display name in Meta WhatsApp Manager:

1. Go to Business Manager and select your business.
2. Click WhatsApp Manager.
3. Select the account for which you want to change the display name.
4. Navigate to the left-most menu and click Phone Numbers.
5. Under the Name column, hover over your current display name and click the pencil icon.
6. In the Edit display name section, enter the new display name.
7. Select Next.

Your display name will need to be approved by WhatsApp.

Once approved, it needs to be updated by your WhatsApp Business API provider. Please contact us via direct support to register new name on your number.
